During the last two decades, the sharp increase in the volume of computer and universal electronic waste has become a serious problem for our society, especially in California. Roughly, 20 to 50 million tons of electronic waste are generated annually. An overwhelming percentage of these materials contain toxic substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium. When electronic waste materials are disposed of in conventional waste streams, the toxic substances leach into the environment, polluting the surrounding land, water and air. Proper disposal practices will prevent long-term implications on the environment, general public health and will reduce clean-up bills for future generations in California.
Our mission is to divert as much electronic waste materials from landfills and dumps by offering cost effective and environmentally sound e-waste recycling alternatives for the public. E.L.M.A.R.S., Corporation is a "GREEN" electronic waste management company that recycles all materials in accordance to government-regulated standards. All the materials we process are logged and tracked starting from the collection point to the end-of-life process. This procedure allows us to ensure that no materials we collect are exported out of California illegally or dumped into other unregulated waste streams.

FREE PICKUP SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE BAY AREA WITH 10 OR MORE ITEMS*.
*Please note that smaller items weighing less than two pounds, such as keyboards, mice, cables and software CDs and do not qualify as individual items.
Bulk pickup services are offered to both residential and business customers. There are no limitations on the number of items that customers can recycle.

THE SERVICE RATE FOR BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS WITH LESS THAN 10 ITEMS IS $10.00.

FREE DROP OFF
Customers are welcome to bring any number of electronic waste items to our facility, in Down Town San Jose for disposal at no charge every weekday during normal business hours. The drop off service offered by appointment only, so please call ahead.

ACCEPTING - All computer hardware and electronics, including CPU computers, monitors, television sets, networking equipment, personal electronics, industrial equipment, test equipment, wires, stereos, speakers, keyboards, mice, cell phones, home phones, office phones, remote controls, radio equipment, LCD displays, laptops, metals, personal electronics, VCR, speakers, batteries, toner, and more. All computer hardware and electronic equipment is accepted regardless of vintage or working condition. Battery Backup Units, Batteries and Universal Power Supplies (UPS SYSTEMS): Currently, we accept LEAD ACID batteries and UPS backup systems.
NOT ACCEPTING – Fluorescent Light Bulbs are not accepted. You can contact the California Integrated Waste Management Board for more information regarding the safe disposal of these materials.
